Please read before your sauna and cold plunge session with Prune Sauna. Take the time to read everything carefully: your safety depends on it.
The Activity
Prune Sauna offers mobile sauna sessions (wood-fired or electric) and cold plunge sessions, either separately or alternating between hot and cold. These activities expose the body to significant temperature changes.
The Risks
Taking part in these activities involves risks, including:
dehydration, dizziness, nausea, faintness, loss of consciousness and heat stroke;
changes in blood pressure and heart rate, which can worsen an existing medical condition;
thermal shock and reaction to cold water (hyperventilation, spasms, shortness of breath, hypothermia);
risk of drowning or loss of control when immersed in cold water;
burns from the stove, the rocks, steam, hot surfaces or hot water;
slips and falls on wet surfaces, steps or uneven ground, and resulting injuries;
risks related to a wood-burning heater (smoke, sparks, carbon monoxide) and to electricity;
risks related to weather and the outdoor environment (cold, wind, ice, heat).
These risks can cause serious injury and, in rare cases, death.
Health and Contraindications
Consult a health professional before taking part if any of the following applies to you:
pregnancy, confirmed or possible;
heart or circulatory problem (heart disease, arrhythmia, stroke, thrombosis);
high or low blood pressure, or taking medication that affects blood pressure;
epilepsy, frequent fainting or recurring dizziness;
diabetes, kidney disorder, serious respiratory condition or uncontrolled asthma;
injury, open wound, infection, fever or recent surgery;
consumption of alcohol, cannabis, drugs or medication that impairs alertness within the past few hours;

Prune Sauna may refuse access to anyone whose condition appears to present a risk.
